How do we generate a plan?
You give us your race, the date, a recent time or two, how many days a week you run and your current weekly distance, and you choose how many hard sessions a week you want (one to three). An AI model drafts the weeks around the pace your goal needs and RacePacer holds it to your choices. You see the whole plan and can change any of it before it starts.

Can I bring my own plan?
Yes. Upload a spreadsheet, a PDF, photos of a printed page or pasted text (copy a Google Sheet and paste it). RacePacer reads it into weeks and sessions exactly as written, flags anything it was unsure of for you to check, and then tracks it like any other plan. Your paces are kept as written.

What does Strava sync do?
It is read-only. RacePacer reads your runs' distance and pace, including the work paces inside interval sessions, and puts them against your week. You review the week before it is saved, and the prediction updates when you log it. No Strava is fine too: the prediction then comes from your benchmark times and check-ins, with a wider range. Garmin and Apple Health are not connected yet.

Will the AI change my plan without asking?
Never. Changes are shown as a preview first, so you apply them week by week or skip them. You can lock sessions so a revision never touches them, and every change saves a version you can restore.

How does the prediction work?
Published race-equivalency maths over your own efforts, a marathon correction for training volume, and a range rather than a single promise. AI writes the words, never the number. When the data is thin, it says “not yet”.

Which races does it cover?
Everything from a 5K to a marathon, including the 10Ks and halves in between.

Is it free?
Yes, free during the private beta, with no card needed. You can reserve a founding rate for when paid plans launch. That is a reservation, not a charge, and we will never bill you without asking first. There will always be a free tier.

Is my data safe?
Your training data is stored in the EU and never sold. You can export any plan or delete your account whenever you want.

Is this a coach, or medical advice?
No. RacePacer is a planning tool, not a substitute for a qualified coach, physio or doctor. Train within your limits.

How do I join my coach?
Your coach adds you by email and sends you an invite link. Open it, sign in or sign up, and their plan appears in your account.

What does my coach see?
Your plan, what you log each week, how your logged weeks compare with the plan, any niggles you report, and your predicted finish with its range. They don't see your synced Strava runs, or the efforts behind your prediction, at the moment.

Can I change a session my coach set?
Yes. If a niggle means a session has to change, you can change it, even one your coach locked. They see it flagged with your one-line reason. RacePacer's own suggested revisions never touch a locked session. Uploading a different plan over your coach's is blocked while theirs is active.

How does re-pacing work?
Write a session once. RacePacer works out each runner's paces from their personal bests or goal time and shows them to you before anything is saved, so you can keep your own or change any of them. Easy days stay easy for everyone.

Can I bring in the plans I already use?
Yes. Import a template from a spreadsheet, CSV, PDF, photos of a printed page or pasted text. RacePacer reads it into weeks and sessions for you to check, then you assign it to runners.

Can I see my runners' Strava runs?
Not at the moment. You see what they log, how their logged weeks compare with the plan, and their predicted finish.
